Who We Are
For over 43 years, Christmas Connection has provided a no cost shopping experience for families in need. Today, through generous support from the community, we have grown to serve over 6,000 families each year. Our store is stocked with new and gently used items which provides toys, clothing, and household items.
In partnership with referring agencies, our clients engage with a personal shopper to help guide them through a dignified shopping experience. At Christmas Connection, every day is Christmas morning.
We believe that every person deserves the chance the feel seen, even during their most challenging moments. Christmas Connection...spreading cheer throughout the year.
Our History
Christmas Connection was founded in 1981 when a group of community leaders saw children in the OKC Metro who would not experience the joy of receiving new toys on Christmas morning. Lead by Barbara Fagin, the team set out to bring holiday cheer to families in need and Christmas Connection was born. Serving 363 families in their first year, they never would've dreamed the organization would one day grow to serve over 6,000 families each year. Over the years we've had a few locations and names, and our services have broadened to include year-round programs and crisis services, but the heart of our mission has remained the same...to provide families in need with the spirit of Christmas.
Our Future
The future of Christmas Connection is very merry and bright! In January, we relocated to an amazing retail space that better facilitates the shopping experience and provides easier access to our clients and referring partners alike. We have upgraded our inventory system to better inform our donors of immediate needs and quickly restock items our shoppers desire.
We have hopes of expanding our building to create "Santa's Workshop" for children to experience STEM play with our "Elves" in a safe and fun environment while their parents shop for Christmas gifts. And who knows what other little Christmas magic will get sprinkled in along the way!
